Have you seen this? This beauty is our new favorite Christmas mug from Walt Disney World! See the little not-so-hidden Mickey’s? And the Christmas decor of trees, wreaths, bells and more? It’s just so pretty!!! And on the opposite side is the Starbucks symbol as this is a festive collaboration between them and Disney.
So what could make it better? …
Starbucks Disney Christmas Ornaments!
As you may remember, there was a swirl of activity amongst Disney and Starbucks fans whenever a new Starbucks location opened inside each theme park here at Walt Disney World. Fans were thrilled to get their favorite drinks and snacks, but they were beyond excited to collect the coveted mugs designed specifically for each park.
Starbucks Ornaments!
Well, now Disney and Starbucks have done it again but in a smaller, albeit exciting, way. …
Disney Resort Gingerbread Displays!
As soon as the fall decorations get put away, Disney fans wait patiently for the aroma of gingerbread and chocolate to waft through the halls of Walt Disney World’s resorts in Florida. The Disney bakeries do an amazing job of not only mixing up and baking huge amounts of dough, but these Castmembers use their skills to decorate the gingerbread and sculpt the chocolate into amazing works of art!
Gingerbread everywhere!
We thought you’d like to see them for yourselves, so let’s go on a little tour, shall we? First, check out the stunning, life-size Gingerbread House in the photo above, found at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort near Magic Kingdom….
Disney's Christmas Day Parade Taping
Christmas Day is magical for us. Whether we’re awaken at 5am by excited little cousins or we sleep in a bit and share the day with our family of adults, it’s a day full of sparkle. One way we enjoy a bit more pixie dust is by watching Disney’s Christmas Day Parade on ABC.
What some people don’t realize (especially if they live outside of Florida) is that this spectacular parade shown on Christmas Day is actually recorded ahead of time. It’s still magical, it’s just recorded in advance so that visitors to the Magic Kingdom and other Disney parks on Christmas Day will get to enjoy their visit without a film crew blocking off areas. It also makes it a lot easier for all of the extra hardworking film crew to film on a day that’s not crowded. Makes sense, right?! Right!
The parade film crew is AMAZING!
Well, this year we had a chance to take part in the parade taping! It was amazing watching the film crew do their stuff and seeing the Castmembers in the parade perform sometimes more than once. Here are some highlights!…
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party!
Every year around the holidays at Walt Disney World, a special event takes place in the Magic Kingdom… Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party!! Parades, castle shows, fireworks, treats, special characters…it’s all there!! And since we had the special opportunity to attend last week, we thought we would share some highlights of our adventure with you in case you’re planning to go!

Breakfast! The SciFi Dine-In Theater Restaurant
The SciFi Dine-In Theater Restaurant is, in our opinion, a must-do for anyone visiting Walt Disney World. The theming is clearly linked to the restaurant’s title as a classic drive-in movie theater, with guests seated in twos in 50’s era convertibles. On the huge movie screen, you get to dine “under the stars” as you watch clips from old scifi flicks and retro intermission commercials. It’s totally fun! This visit: breakfast.
Previously, only lunch and dinner were served at the SciFi Dine-In, but starting this month Disney is trying out a new option at this location by serving breakfast as well….
FF: Disney Thanksgiving Cupcake
This adorable Thanksgiving cupcake was a wonderful surprise! The cake was a super moist pumpkin while the icing had a delicate maple flavor. Nothing was overwhelming, every single bite blended so well together including the crunchy nuts around the edge. And the Mickey pilgrim hat on top was the usual Disney milk chocolate we’ve grown to love. We’re so happy Disney bakers made this sweet treat!

Our Favorite Disney Christmas merchandise!
It’s always exciting when Disney begins displaying their Christmas merchandise, but this year we feel more of a buzz in the air! Whether we’ve seen an item previously or it’s brand new to us, the sight of things covered in red and green or dressed in Santa suits fills us with delight!
Mickey’s upside down!
Check out that cute Mickey Mouse mug above. It can be displayed with Mickey waving, but when you want to use it, he’s suddenly standing on his head. Quirky, right?! We love it… and can totally see it filled with ice cream or creamy hot chocolate! And isn’t the handle too cute as a peppermint stick?! We’re adding this to our wish list….
New Star Wars Attraction!!
There’s a new attraction coming soon to Disney’s Hollywood Studios called Star Wars Launch Bay! We’re not sure what it will entail, but we know that it will bring guests closer to the Star Wars movie franchise and help introduce fans to the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie to be released on December 17, 2015.
